English with Kirsty News contains details of my events, podcast episodes, articles, and other information for people who want to improve their language skills and communicate well.

1. Discover your voice in English

Are you a freelancer or business owner who feels stuck because you know English well, but it’s hard to really be yourself when you speak? You don’t need an English course, but you want people to find out who you really are when you communicate in English and you know that this would change so much for you when you’re speaking with clients or sharing your ideas.
Have a look at my 11-week mentoring course and get in touch if you want to have a conversation about whether this programme is what you’re looking for to discover and develop your own unique way of communicating in English.

2. Reactivate your English – speaking skills for freelance translators

Are you a translator who works with English as a source language or who reads and writes English regularly, but who has no opportunities to speak it? This means that speaking spontaneously doesn’t come as easily as it once did and you might shy away from speaking or networking opportunities.
In this small group programme, you work in a group with other freelance translators who also want to reactivate or improve their English speaking skills and feel more confident about using them. As you’re working in the same branch, we can focus on topics that will be relevant to the day-to-day life of a freelance translator.

3. Amplify your voice in English – for public speaking and delivering your message to a wider audience

There are 4 options here:

  • For upcoming speaking engagements – are you looking for support while you prepare for an upcoming presentation? Have a look at my presentations training.
  • Are you preparing for an upcoming job interview in English? I offer interview training.
  • 8 weeks to develop your English public speaking skills! – my programme to get you from thinking about public speaking some time in the future to taking active steps to making it happen.
  • Expand your reach – do you provide training, workshops, webinars or educational content in a language other than English? Would you like to make your existing content available to a wider audience by offering it in English as well?
My consultancy service can help with this. I support you in the process of creating your English content, but also in planning how you will talk about it and deliver it so that you can share your knowledge confidently and competently.

4. Find your own way in English – customised, One-to-one training

This is the option for people who need specific help with their English. It’s not a programme, but you can book 1, 5 or 10 customised, one-to-one sessions to address specific challenges, whether they relate to vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or preparing for a specific event where you will need to use English. I also offer presentation or interview training.
In terms of companies, I also offer group courses for teams.

5. My podcast – English with Kirsty

With almost 300 episodes so far, the English with Kirsty podcast brings together solo episodes and conversations about a huge range of language-related topics. I speak with experts in their field, explore the stories of multilingual professionals, share my own tips and knowledge about developing our language skills, and discover the impact that languages have had on my guests’ lives and businesses. There’s sure to be something that will help you, make you think, inspire you, or give you an idea for something new to try.

6. Develop your language skills with others The club and cafe

I have two monthly membership options for people who want to practise their speaking skills in small groups of like-minded people and with my support to facilitate discussions and support with language questions.
The club is where we have groups of up to six freelancers who work with English as an additional language. We discuss topics around promoting our services, growing our businesses, development, self-care, communication, marketing, and much more!! Find out more about the club here.
The café is our general English membership where we talk about travel, books, food, hobbies, and have those spontaneous conversations with friendly and open-minded people. Find out more about the café here.

7. You’re not alone – free Networking and language meet-ups

My networking events are all about sharing knowledge, getting to know new people, having thought-provoking conversations and building our networks in a meaningful and people-centred way.
Some events are specifically for people in the language industry. Others are more general and they’re open to those who are passionate about languages and language learning. You can find the event list here.

I’m looking forward to meeting you soon!

Have a wonderful day and have fun on your language journey!
